Hi, I’m Patty Adams!

I was excited to start my driving career, but there was a big problem, I was a girl. Solo female drivers were virtually unheard of and not entirely welcomed into trucking. This was a man's domain. Trucking companies were leery to hire us. Women who were out there were expected to run as a team with their husbands or boyfriends. They were given little to no credit for their skills. Despite this, I loved my job and wanted to succeed.

I started writing as a hobby and as a way to highlight my journey as a young woman struggling to become a professional driver while overcoming stereotypes. I love being a professional female truck driver and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I’ve been married to my loving husband for 28 years and we have two daughters and seven grandchildren. As I near retirement, I aspire to write about my various experiences and encounters during my career. Although, I am new to the world of writing. My ultimate goal is to enjoy my senior years with my family.
